Woman’s perspective interested in men: You really have to dig deep to find someone who is interested in a relationship. When I was in the dating scene(about 2 years ago) it was slim pickings…. Not sure what the pool of available women looks like.
If you’re not interested in a relationship, there’s a lot of fun people. If you interested in someone who has post grad degree— there’s a bunch of medical students.
Don’t use the league… wasn’t worth the time imo when I was on it. I met my bf on hinge.
Good luck!
That may be a bit of an over-generalization, depending on your age and what you’re specifically looking for (other than a relationship).
I can say when I was a single male in my 20s living in DC, it was definitely a buyer’s market for me. The ratio of single women:men was definitely skewed in my favor, and a not insignificant number of single men were fratty tech bros or lobbyists looking to hit it and quit it. That said, I think the DC dating scene in general is plagued by the transient nature of the population of young professionals. Few move to DC expecting to put down roots and start a family, they go for a few valuable years of job experience and then move on. With that in mind it’s not surprising why many (women included) don’t approach the DC dating scene looking for a forever partner.
What’s RVA?
Small?
Depends are you a woman or a man? Do you care that your significant other have a college degree?
As I understand it, due to the significantly lower COL there are a lot more younger adults in blue collar career fields and getting by working service industry jobs. Which could either increase or decrease your odds. I also don’t think the area has as much of a female bias, that is it’s a lot closer to a 50/50 split unlike the DC area which is a single dude’s paradise.
Just moved here, no luck 🤣
