Think they did a good job on this piece. It was a truly embarrassing moment for the firm, but I think it’s being handled as well as can be expected. Should go smoothly this year 🤞

Currently in the recruitment process to become a firefighter or a pilot
Just got promoted to senior and got my cpa and can't wait to get out. A little bit older tho so am scared about trying to do something else at this age.
I am in the same boat. I can't imagine doing accounting the rest of my life. Or just corporate bullshit in general. But I have no clue what else there is to do to make a decent living while also having a sense of fulfillment.
I dont have a plan yet but im writing a book
Can you be a pilot and we get married and fly around the world
Senior 1, quiting work and going back to school for compsci in August. Do it.
Hey Deloitte 1, I'm thinking of doing something similar, are you going back to school to get a bachelors in comp sci?
Nice OP. I'm the same age and level. Good to know I'm not the only one who has been considering something this drastic
Nothing is impossible i know a girl who went to med school at 39
Deloitte 1, good luck for your new career
Pwc, yup, ill be able to get my bachelor's in 2 years. If you want it faster check out OSU CS online program. You get an actual diploma from Oregon state university and you have the option to complete it in 1 year. However, its very intense and most students spend 60 hrs a week studying and doing projects
How are you planning on doing fire at this age? I thought you had to get into that program at a pretty young age? Seems like a great job though. Helping people while also making a decent living.
EY1, I talked to a few firefighter at the info session in my city, and a lot of them changed their career around mid 20s or early 30s. Those guys are from a variety of backgrounds (teacher, doctor, trade jobs, etc)
FYI, I am a S2 in my mid 20s
Ouch OP. Ouch.
Makes it harder when ur 30+
EY1, good to know that we are not alone haha
