Post-COVID fishies: How long did it take until you felt back to your normal selves? Are you not quite there yet? It’s been just over a month since I tested positive and although the worst symptoms are gone, I’m so tired all the time. I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! Do I have my kid go to universal pre-K where he is in class ONE time a week and then Zoom (he is hyper active and Zoom learning is difficult for everyone) or cough up $28,000 for private school where he goes 5 days a week? Anyone else in NYC conflicted on where to send their kids?

Any advice on quitting without a two week notice? I’m at a regional boutique and we’ve had 3/4 of our other analysts leave and I’ve had to pick up the slack with no comp increase. I’m absolutely done and do not want to give a notice. My associate or VP who left earlier this year can be used as a reference so I’m not worried about that. I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?
