I really think that the insurance policy given by mediassist is way more expensive for parental insurance, means who will pay for 50k+ premium and that too for large copay, I guess the leadership team should intervene here....Parental insurance is really important for any employee and most of the time is only needed.
Recently I used parental insurance and found that the insurance company only paid for 50% of the total bill.

Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

Unlimited PTO is a scam
100%
So is work life balance
First two are absurd. For #3, SF is the most expensive area, per roberthalf, the cost of living adjustment is 39% above national average. Show us the numbers so we can verify.
Come to BDO where our PTO is taken away and we can “donate” our PTO to others.
I would never want unlimited PTO - it’s a scam - people end up using less time off than people with a specific number of PTO days that expire. With unlimited PTO, people end up feeling too guilty to take it or take more than their peers do and end up getting penalized down the line during the review cycle for not hitting utilization goals.
Don’t go for unlimited PTO or FTO as GT calls it. You will always be scheduled on jobs and will not be able to take time off. And then you will not accrue any time off to be paid when you leave.
WTF. So I can work more then someone else can take my PTO? That’s how the flex Friday died. Best ppl always overworked, and the so-so always under. Bullshit.
Our firm is implementing unlimited PTO this coming January. Interested in seeing how that will play out
AS1: that’s awesome! Will it be available to all staff or limited to certain levels?
TA1: anyone with 2+ years of experience!
Totally agree with SM1. Unlimited pto is worse
GT????
Makes you wonder why people try so hard in public accounting
I have 6 weeks of PTO scheduled. Is that still not good?
Competitive compensation with what?
Someone’s getting roasted on here.
