Do you center family planning around where you’re at in your career? A few years ago I told myself the appropriate time to start a family would be when I made 6 figures. I’ve hit that milestone and still cannot envision children for myself. Seems like there’s no such thing as stability and layoffs are rampant this year. Maybe it’s just the world we live in now but children sound like a terrible financial decision and an added stressor if anything could go wrong with my job or cost of living.

Sunday discussion. CEO Marc Benioff feels that companies should go beyond capitalism and push “social change”.
Let’s take Netflix / Dave Chapelle as the example, is it the CSR of Netflix to moderate the content they present and we pay for?
Personally, I don’t want companies to moderate for me or on behalf of me. I will make my own decisions as a citizen.

Question for fellow attorneys:

I applied to a credit card with Chase a few months ago and within 7 days I was told it was rejected and they would send a letter explaining why.

Chase has recently calling to say it expired (they said it wasn’t rejected but I was told on the recorded line that it was).

Isn’t this against the law (fair credit reporting act)?. I’m not a lawyer so I’d love to hear your thoughts

I have seen amazing reviews about JPMorgan Chase in this app. I joined this firm last year and have spent enough time talking to multiple colleagues in multiple teams, and the work life balance here sucks to the core. Many toxic managers as well. I really want to leave this place but just worried of leaving before completing one year. Will it affect my career if I leave early?

I've been working in management consulting for the last few years (incl working at Big 4). I studied at LSE, performed well at work and academics, and have a strong enough CV to make it through the door at MBBs. I now have an upcoming interview with one of the MBBs but I'm very nervous. I feel like I'm not cut out for the MBBs and will never be able to 'crack' the case study interview because I'm just not good /smart enough. Any advice on how best to build the confidence and take myself forward?

My firm often sees hops to BCG, D, and ACN, downleveling one step when heading over.

I'm concerned that given my age/YOE I'll be out of consideration for Manager even coming in from Sr. Manager. Anyone have experience in a similar situation?

Any tips?
