Anyone willing to share how getting a MBA helped change their professional trajectory from just PR? I want to do something more than agency work (or just media work TBH) and am wondering if a MBA might help ignite change, open new doors.

Been with Big Four advisory (GRC) for 10 years. Really tired of meaningless “consulting” and commoditized implementations. Recently been through a rough job search and finally landed an offer with a mid size bank in their risk practice. People say that the culture there is quite political and bitter but I’ll learn a heck lot and get a new opening on my resume. Salary is the same. The other option is to take a consulting job that pays me 50k more but do the same work! Thoughts? Thanks!

Is it easy to switch from operations to broker dealer side specifically sales?

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?

Taking my GMAT in 7 weeks. Just finished the large Kaplan book and have done 2 practice tests so far. What should I do next? Worth investing in a GMAT tutor? Getting 600 on practice tests but want a 690~.

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? I freelanced for an agency as an art director for 6 months and recently got hired FT. I am struggling with imposter syndrome on a daily basis but manage to get great feedback from the creative directors continuously but still feel the same way.
