Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

This is weird, and not legal. They can ask for reference but you cant send your review from the current firm.
You shouldn’t share that since most feedbacks
Include clients name like I was working with him/ her on ABC client and … . So you should just tell them because my feedback contains confidential information like my current firm client name (if it does) I can’t share that and as for reference you can tell them you only ok they contact your current employer for reference if and once they give your written offer . They can make your hiring conditional on what your current employer feedback would be and if it is aligned with what you told them. They always can contact your other references in the process of deciding but it is your choose when it comes to the current employer.
I way prefer sending my eval than asking people to do references. I have done this and it worked out well.
Red flag to me. I’d move on.
A couple of years ago , I was in the process of applying for a job with the IRS. Their website specially asked for a copy of your last performance review. I thought the request was odd since I have never heard of that before .
Now, the IRS (or DOGE) might ask for your voter registration information and/or a loyalty oath.
This is crazy to hear! Wow. Man the job market is getting rough.
Be like, "i can, but i won't. "
If I’m doing the hiring I’m going to wonder why you aren’t willing to share.
If you really want the job, provide it. If you have nothing to hide, then it shouldn't be a problem even though it might be out of the ordinary.
i thought about this as i have good performance feedback and wanted to share to hiring manager if i do interview. but it seems like it’s confidential and now allowed to share?
If it's feedback about you, you can share it.
The IRS asks for it
