I tried it very passively for two years. Passively meaning I put no effort into it.The upsides are that you can get a lot of CE credits just by attending the monthly meeting lunches.I also thought it may have been a good way to build relationships with potential sellers.I think all of the above is true, but it is dominated by RIAs, of which I am not. Also you will not build those relationships at the lunches, like anything you would need to become active in a committee to really make a name for yourself.I quit because I was spending ~$400/year for 3-4 lunches that I did not want to go to, and did not want to become active in it. Just my choice.

Depends on your chapter. Can be some good educational meetings and vendor discounts

Is working at a healthcare agency early in your career a bad move if you really want to do the traditional ad route? I ask because I was approached to apply for one (highly awarded). New to the U.S., is the Healthcare Industry (via HIPAA), the only industry in the U.S. that legally mandates having a designated Privacy Officer? So for example, although GLBA has obvious privacy requirements, unlike with healthcare, financial institutions in the U.S. are not mandated by law to have a designated Privacy Officer?

I have been offered from NTT data and a week ago they gave me a call to check if i can join early.. i said i am ok to join early if NTT is ready for buyout.
