Hi #Urgent
Got the Offer Letter from Citi upon accepting I also received the Background Verification (BGV) mail.
which says I need to provide the relieving letter/experience letter. But the thing is I have not received it (it will take some time). I only have resignation acceptance letter.
Can we still proceed for bgv process and tell Citi that I will provide the relieving letter later on when i get it.
(already passed my LWD: 2nd nov)

Are dogs better than cantaloupes?
Do owls exist?
Yes, because they have competent internal staffing models and thus, don't care about nonsense such as utilization.
More prestigious because they are harder to get jobs at and pay more.
In the 1980s they said, "Nobody gets fire for hiring IBM (even if they screw up)." Same applies today to MBBS.
They are absolutely "better" in the sense that they're more deftly, hold their employees to a higher standard, and really allow high performers to excel. HOWEVER, the difference in projects between MBB and Big 4 is not as different as some would have you believe, especially with Mck solutions and the like. Granted, a pure strat project will still go to Mck, but MBB are realizing there's good money in the type of work Big 4 does and the two are converging
The "S" is for slalom, I assume?
How many of the people that have responded so far have worked at both?
Really feeling the love this morning. Thanks fishies!!! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

^ agreed. Consulting is becoming diluted. The firms networth is going to be the firms network. Same theory comes down to you as an individual.
EY joey:
1. Evaluated more frequently: you can prove that. Fair point
2. Asked to leave: so you're saying other firms don't use up or out? Have you ever seen anyone on MBB here talk about getting the boot? I haven't. I know they do it, but you're suggesting they always will regardless of network or other factors AND that other firms don't do this.
3. For the inverse. Faster promotions could be evidence of this but it's not like no one has ever moved up quickly. Oliver Wyman is a great counter example to other firms that excel here. I'd throw in LEK as well.
You're making these claims that are restrictive in that you have to demonstrate MBB does these great things your claiming AND that no other firm does. Like I said, it's just confirmation bias fueling everything.
What is a consultant manager? Glorified SC?
Former MBB here. Stopped drinking the kool-aid once I realized it's a franchise business. Eventually, your sales determines your salary.
@EY Joey: outperform in what way? They don't win in revenue, headcount, (company) value, or any objective metric.
That's like saying 5 guys outperforms McDonald's because 5 guys has better food. Walmart is still the more successful company by any measurable metric.

more deftly managed*
The inferiority complex here is incredible. Parthenon (EY) has the highest pay. Everything else here is confirmation bias. There's no evidence-based reason their projects are why better than big 4 or anyone else. S&'s point about utilization is the only logical thing posted here.
What I posted is pretty logical and the mf truth
Same thing at any firm once you reach director^
