Are there any movies that you find any leadership wisdom from? I know a lot of times people like to recommend books but the harsh reality is many times. People wanna get off of work and watch Netflix so why not any good movies myself I always recommend a good sports movie on leadership who is a good movie. Remember the Titans is a good movie. They show you that you can work together with people that are different and be successful. They show your routines. I love these movies.

Moneyball is another sports movie that is really good. Challenging the norm and being scrappy.

I want to say it was streaming on Peacock, but movies and shows change so often on all of them now.

Totally agree—leadership lessons don’t have to come from books. *Remember the Titans* is a great example of teamwork, discipline, and leading through differences. Movies can be just as powerful (and way more relaxing after work).

Not a movie but I love listening to a podcast called How I built this. It tells the stories of people who built successful companies, really inspiring because some people come from nothing.

I firmly believe leadership makes the difference.

Not only, it highlins each one's value, but especially spreads this value among others.

If I was a junior on a team during a campaign launch, is that something I can put in my book? I helped during the concepting phase, was responsible for keeping the boards up to date, and wrote a lot of the supporting materials (print, social etc) but obviously I was not on the shoot or the lead on writing the script. As long as I’m clear about my role is that acceptable?

We’re starting to interview for my copywriter partner this week, but I don’t have any creative leadership above me (I’m also the only creative with agency experience at the company) so I’m nervous about being the only one looking at prospective partners.

Any tips for good questions to ask to feel out who is the best fit? I’ve worked with great and not so great writers in the past and it wasn’t always clear which would end up being the not so great based on their books.

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Best books for learning tactical business management, strategy, and growth? Looking for more meaty than "Playing to Win" - willing to read good textbooks. Have read plenty of leadership dev books.

How many times has an interviewer no-showed and the recruiter profusely apologizing on their behalf?
Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂

But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this?
