Are you a night owl or an early bird? How does your chronotype effect your work? I am a night owl (I go to bed at around 12am and 1am every night and wake up around 8-9am). I find having to keep up with the societal clock can be challenging for me as I typically perform better and am more alert in the evening.

I live I'm AZ nights are optimal. I've been working nights and overnight shifts for 16 years. Most restaurants pay a dollar more for the same job just because it's closing shift. I'm currently working as a line cook in two bars. Ones a dive bar and the other a more upscale bar with live music.

I think I may have night owl tendencies. I'll sometimes feel very tired in mid-afternoon and it's like I have to kick myself to keep going. And then at 10 pm I'll feel totally awake. It doesn't make any sense, but I'm just used to it. I usually go to bed around midnight and get up at 7 am, but I often feel like I should be working late at night instead of just reading and trying to ease into sleep mode.

the nights I dont work im in bed by 9 sometimes 8:30. the nights I do work im awake until 12:00- 1:00 a.m.

Definitely early bird. My favorite time of the day is watching the sun come up with a cup of coffee and by that time I've already completed my entire morning routine. I'm more alert during the day at work.

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

What do you think?

What law firm is your favorite for run of the mill employment issues in the US and internationally (India, Australia, UK, Germany, etc.). I primarily use Littler because they have a broad reach and decent rates but I’m wondering whether Bird & Bird, Ogletree, or some other firm has similar pricing and as good or better quality work. So, who are you using and are you happy?

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.
