Are you all wearing heels to work? My orthopedic says I need to stop or it's going to cause me a lot of trouble in the future. Would love recommendations of stylish footwear brands that are big on comfort/support.

I haven’t worn heels in 20+ years. Love Cole Haan for nice classy flats.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I stopped wearing heels in the early 2000s, I found people took me more seriously without them.

You respect women who wear heels less? Given that heels are a part of many professional ensembles, this surprises me. You must not respect a lot of exec women.

(From Europe) - never wear heels - boots, sneakers and flats are typical

I recently bought a pair of Anne Klein loafers that have a bit of a wedge heel to give me some height. Super comfy.

I wear loubs sneakers, Prada loafers but no more heels. I messed up my knees so no heels

No. Flats.

For the past decade or so, I wore heels only when I’m presenting at a conference, going to a wedding, Las Vegas nightclubs, pitching to investors in NY or chicago, or business meetings in Miami.

I got a new pair of pumps a year ago. They’ve been on a dozen flights, worn once.

Please, no ballet flats. Gone are the days, and they are not comfortable to wear all day.

Huh? Are you saying no to heels or no to ballet flats? I am confused by your post as I definitely do not find ballet flats uncomfortable to wear all day, but I definitely find heels uncomfortable to wear for longer than an hour ;)

Wedges

BCBG are actually the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. I bought their heeled loafer recently. Love them.

No high heels!! Comfy boots or flats.

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.
