Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??
I think cognizant has the worst HRs, like i dropped an email a couple of weeks ago to re-negotiate my offer but they didn't care to respond. I dropped an email saying I am withdrawing my offer and they still didn't care to respond. Why are they hiring if they don't care? Deloitte USI Tata Consultancy Wipro Accenture India Infosys

Probably better and easier to join a well established team that is actively hiring.
Thanks! It’s just so competitive I seem to make it to the final round before there’s a hiring freeze or they end up hiring someone much more senior or way more junior than I am

Maybe do the fractional GC bit. Seems like you’ve got the experience to market yourself pretty well for it.
Don’t forget to be careful with the dual hat director/counsel while you’re doing that
Thank you! Yes I worry about that but my nonprofits can’t hire counsel. I keep sending texts and emails about the importance of searching for interim or permanent GC for the board to approve even on a volunteer basis so they get the hint.
If they’re a current or former client maybe, especially if you’re in the ECVC space working with startups. Otherwise seems like a waste of time.
So why don’t you reach out to businesses, bring them on as outside counsel, and then work your way in-house? It will take time, but I think that’s your most likely shot of making this work.
Any advice re how to get on nonprofit and company boards?
This is great insight. I’ll probably give it a try. Good luck with the job search/creation!
