At what age do babies sit on their own (no back/sides support)? My 7mo old can sit for brief periods but then tries to move and falls to the side or backwards (so I am usually guard-railing her). She is fine when strapped to the high chair.

Also, at what age so they stand up by holding to a wall? Anything I should be doing to get her to try?

Dads with older children: while raising your children, did your children prefer their moms over you? My family mistreated me when I was younger, and now that I don’t live at home, they don’t call or bother to look for me, because frankly, I think they have a hard time admitting what happened - and will never apologize to me either. First time Dad and my 15 month old keeps running up the stairs at my in-laws place and they keep encouraging it. Question about inclusion…. I’ve been teaching inclusion for 5 years so I’m still a newb, but a first year coworker of mine said she got points off on her observation because her kids were scattered in the classroom and she was having to move from kid to kid to assist. While I see the point of putting them together for convenience, I don’t agree with this at all! To me this is like singling them out by putting them all together instead of INCLUDED amongst peers.
