BA to EM at McKinsey - What are some of the non-PE/VC exits available to EMs with limited YOE. Can’t find much outside PE/VC that would beat my current ~270k comp with 3 YOE. Don’t come from a very privileged background so definitely feeling the “golden handcuffs”

YOE : 7.8 i have an offer from IBM and HCL.

Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.
