Find me some good seniors please 😀
Does the accelerated manager promotion just offset the extra year for the senior promotion?
I didn't say it's guaranteed, i did say if you are a good performer then it's possible to get promoted within that timeline as I've seen plenty of people got that
And we increased our revenue to 45 billion bucks
How’s the culture been maintained while being 100% remote? Been struggling to figure out how to keep the culture alive without seeing people in person.
Okay people, 100% remote working is just an option we provide to anyone that prefers to work from home - this is just how we demonstrate flexibility & inclusiveness and allow people to choose what works best for them. If remote working is not for you then you just don't opt it to that option…by no way we are saying remote working is for everyone, and you do need to understand that while it doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean others would not benefit from this option. Don't project your experience to other people - everyone works differently and they will have the option to choose whichever model works best for them at PwC
My friend works in the San Jose office and she said tax is full of super seniors lol. She said there are lots of people who have been seniors well past three years, and PWC only promotes people when they deem them ready. Even if they changed the guidelines, that doesn’t mean you’ll be promoted sooner unless you really know your stuff. She told me last time the office “early” promoted a bunch of people to senior last year (or was it the year before?), they just ended up quitting soon as they get promoted cuz they work them to death. She did say the culture is better at PWC because there are “better learning opportunities” but not many people want to work until 12-3 am most of the year. Based on my understanding she works a little more than the people at the EY office across the street. I think the main difference is the EY office has more channel 1 work, while PWC has more channel 2 opportunities, which probably are more beneficial if/when you want to jump to industry. Oh, I’m talking about the GCR service line. No idea what the PWC equivalent is

Can you guarantee a better shot at being hired or a higher salary?
Lol I’m not sure there’s anyone out there that can guarantee that before you even do the interview. All I can guarantee is the opportunity to interview, whether you will actually get hired and your salary will be based on your qualifications/ experiences and how you do during the interview.
Decelerated promotion to senior offsets Accelerated promotion to manager
Did you even read the previous comments? We don’t have that 3 yr norm to senior at pwc anymore
