Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? It’s been a good journey ever since I started to work with a team where our major goal is implementing digital banking solutions. But Im part of business team and not product team. Now I’m more interested in the digital products and have enrolled my self for this UI/UX designer course as I want to change my career trajectory and don’t want to work as key relationships manager in the business team anymore. Can anyone share their experience and feedback, what more I need to do ??

Question: do y’all really love this stuff and understand it? Or are you all on the “fake it til you make it” wave? I ask because I’m in a specialty group under the Corporate umbrella and many of the partners and some senior associates are extremely smart and clearly enjoy this stuff. Some even do “night time reading” to catch up on the recent laws. I, on the other hand, cannot wrap my head around it most of the time and would rather not waste energy doing it. Is it just me? What do i do? Quit?

I’m on the high side of the BMI scale and really want to prioritize healthy movement. Anyone here ever struggled working at a private practice during your first year as a licensed counselor? I work well with the clients but I find it difficult to accept the pay I receive for the amount of work I do and is required. I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. How do you deal with imposter syndrome? I'm a new therapist and I work with a bunch of women who have been doing this for ages. They're all really sweet, but I can't help feeling like I'm way out of my league. I mostly see younger clients which I guess works in my favor, but I just feel like I'm totally incompetent compared to the women I work with.

What misconceptions do you think people have about social work? or therapy?
Mine is my family still believes that only "sick" or unhappy people need to see a therapist, so they don't understand why I go to one since I have a job and a family. It's oldschool thinking and pretty annoying tbh.
