Welcome to the rest of your life. #golfislife
How long is your lesson each week and how much do you practice on your own? I’m in the same boat as you but not seeing much progress. Trying to figure out if me or the instructor lol
About an hour, and I’m trying to at least do an hour by myself every week + practice a few movement separation exercises! Not quite the 9-hole and 18-hole season yet, but this will hopefully come up soon!
You are doing it the right way. Biting the bullet, taking lessons early is key. Big mistake is those who wait to take lessons when they’re game feels “good enough to take lessons”. Good luck on the golf journey!
Don’t get frustrated if your great shots at the range don’t immediately transfer to the course. A reputable pro should be incorporating on course lessons into your plan. As cliche as it sounds, most of your strokes add up around the green. Being able to get off the box (in bounds) and confidence in your putting will bring you success. Keep at it though the frustration and it will eventually be rewarded. Or enjoy the walk/company and don’t worry about the score.
Thanks for the words of encouragement!
Where are you taking lessons,
What did you discuss on the phone that helped identify fit?
Kick ass!
