I have a separate set of charging cables for my electronics that permanently live in my suitcase -> removes headache of moving them back and forth every week
So much this…GAME CHANGER.
a portable monitor. i hate when i travel and have to work from such a small screen
Team accommodations dependent. You in a shared conference room with everyone, you won’t have the space to set it up
Get CLEAR for your airport (if possible). They always have free trials for 2-3 and when you cancel they’ll extend it another 2-3 months. Been flying weekly for the past 9 months and not had to pay them a penny while still using their services
And if you have certain credit cards (or can get them) you can get it for free.
Rising Star
Toothbrush, phone, laptop, headphones, charger
Charger for sure
Don’t forget your work laptop and the charger. You cannot believe how many people I’ve seen in my experience forget one or both of those.
Can’t tell you how many times I have forgotten my laptop charger. It’s fine during the day when everyone has one… not so great for night work.
Also have a mixmaster mouse that has its own charger and hate when that thing needs re-charging on site. No everyone has that charger. Hell or high water can never forget the laptop lol
The combo charger cable was a LIFESAVER for me. One end is USB-C with an attached A converter. The other is a 3 cord lightning, USB-C and Apple Watch charger. Lives in my bag with an Anchor 60w plug.
Lots of times airplane outlets suck so I also bought a 6 inch 3 prong extension cord because it tends to stay in the loose plugs better.
Covers my laptop, AirPods, AirPods Max, watch, phones, wireless mouse, and personal iPad. Completely upgraded the amount of crap I have to roll around the country with in the best way.
A backup battery for your phone, comes in clutch when you’re somewhere you can’t plug in
Remember all your charging cables, and most planes don’t yet have USB-C so an old USB-A cable is a good idea. Old business class amenity kits work well for organizing your cables. I also recommend the Microsoft Arc mouse that goes flat since it packs really well.
Travel fan (lifesaver in certain airports/planes) and travel umbrella
Noise cancelling headphones and a portable external monitor. Also common chargers, plugs etc
Rimowa suitcase, anker travel charger (multi plug), AirPods, dongle for usb c hub, Roku for hotel tv’s
If I’m slaving in my hotel room I need my background tv shows lol
Get a little multi outlet plug thingy. It helps make friends at the airports where there’s still not enough plugs, or in a packed conference room where you might be stuck for weeks with your coworkers.
And if you're working at the airport, don't forget your charger at the airport lol. Happened to me.i bring the portable screen and a wireless mouse.
Charger, cables, Sony noise canceling headphones, iPad. I also cary an Amazon Fire TV stick so that I can watch whatever I want on hotel TV. This works probably 65% of the time. When it doesn’t work, I also carry an HDMI cable so that I can comment my lap top to the tv. This works 95% of the time. Occasionally there’s a TV that’s mounted so that you cant get to the HDMI ports.
When I can’t get the fire stick to connect to hotel WiFi, my other path is to use my phone as a hot spot but I won’t do that when traveling internationally since data is limited internationally.
