Any input on job offerings I’ve received. Morgan Stanley CRU risk officer pay is $70k with a less than 10% bonus. And KeyBank position is a private client advisor pay is $67k but bonus can range from $10k -$25k depending on performance and other compensation factors. Hot take: leave consulting asap! Mgmt/strategy consulting is not doing well as a whole and wont be for while. Not only are people losing compensation and jobs, theyre losing the experiences that are really applicable to industry. In my exp, most consultants are now working on now projects related to coronavirus relief (PPP loans, cost takeout, bringing employees back to office, etc.). I’m an avid linkedin user and I’ve noticed 50% of my practice now has premium. Must be saying something.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
