If I see one more post about working two full time jobs …
Just don't get caught...I've done this.
I am you.
I would not ef with any of the big consultantancies. They will most certainly go after you if they were to find out and they will be ruthless, I can say from experience (watching what has happened to others— even low level titles where people have worked two jobs for similar size competitor). If smaller companies or boutiques, may not be as bad.
What have you seen? Not just fired?
Why not just get a higher paying job? I assume with the flexible working schedules, the salaries wouldn’t be that competitive .. if you have time to do both. I can’t even imagine working a second job right now
Do it OP. No doubt you’ve read the WSJ article on people already doing this. If you can make it work then your TC is $400K+. No brainer, just make sure you can navigate the conflicting meetings! Good luck, would love to hear if you pull the trigger to do it. I did this for a time before EY. In fact, I even informed one of my jobs about the other one, and they were ok with it.
You can be sued for anything in a civil case. Whether or not the case has any merit is a different conversation.
So worst case? You’re sued and you don’t have the resources to properly defend yourself and a judgment is held against you and you incur civil monetary penalties owed to one or both employers.

Do you work for me?
Wouldn’t this show up on background checks though?
More for criminal background check and like if you actually are stupid enough to put a fake job on your submitted report and if you’re a real person

Do you have an employment contract?
