Not about Amazon but maybe someone has the answer I’m looking for :) At Meta if you interview for a contract role and get rejected does the 6 month cool off period still apply to you when apply to new jobs? Similarly, if you are employed by a staffing agency at Meta are you barred from interviewing for other roles there? Facebook (Meta)
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

You likely could. It would give you the experience of the other side if the fence (though it says "strategist", I'm in media strategy). If you lost your job & have an offer, take it - differentiated experience is an asset. Though it means you'll need to leave your biases at the door. The media-creative divide is something that we collectively fabricated, & for some reason continue to perpetuate.
Can you? Sure. Should you? Probably not
Should I stay in the role a little longer? I want to be an account person not a media planner, but I lost my job and it may be my only option
?
What do you like being an AE? Sometimes I feel like I am an account person 🙄
