So generally, Manager and below are assigned projects through resource management or internal networking. Once you hit the Senior Manager/Director level, you’re expected to be working with Partners on RFPs, with the expectation that if you win the bid you’ll run with the project and be responsible for managing delivery.
Usually you don’t get involved with CRM like Salesforce until you hit the Senior Manager level. Additionally, Senior Managers and above are expected to sell significant amounts of work. This is why it’s highly recommended against coming in above the Manager level, the expectations of a Manager vs Senior Manager are massive.
SMs are responsible for bringing in business, or they are known as an expert on something and get selected to be an SME. SMs don’t need to be utilized at crazy numbers as their role is different in the firm than say a consultant. And yes there is CRM to see the pipeline.
What are the KPIs for expert track SM? For regular track is it sails related?
Cont'd... I have some B4 consulting interviews coming up as well as industry interviews and I know how these things work in industry, but I keep hearing that B4 is very different.
