Don't they cover this at orientation

Or through an expense policy..

like

E1/E2 There's policy and there's "policy" *wink wink*. We are the former. Any non usage of your Amex (some leniency for food) gets a response from the expense team

Of course they prefer AMEX but curious if I can get away with it for points for hotels. Go away EY peasants.

When I started in consulting my dad (EVP at BofA) gave me a few pieces of advice. The first one was, "never make them question your expense reports." Just stick with the Amex and pay the $75 to keep the points (assuming you have a personal Amex account).

What ev's rookie

lol, you heard him peasant, scram!

Don't bother trying. You really want to put yourself at risk for breaking policy (a fireable offense) for a few points?

Don't do it, especially hotels, flights, and rental cars.

Been thinking about buying this reasonable dividend growth fund from vanguard - I like the approach and the manager. The ER is 0.26%. I did the quick math vs my Schwab S&P500 index at .02% and it’s a staggering amount of expense over 20 years and 500K investment. How do people justify paying 1% etc for their investments when you can own S&P 500 for almost nothing.

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
