MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.

I'm through to last round of an extremely cool job opp. Salary at best will be lateral but title bump and extremely cool set of responsibilities. However will only likely start in Jan due to needing to wait for bonus and security clearance check. Have baby coming end of may. Per my understanding this means I won't even get statutory pay? What should I do? Or should I just view this as missing 2 weeks of £150 (ie unpaid leave) and whatever paid paternity leave benefit org has (likely 2 weeks)

Do I need/should I go get one to match the training/connections these people have presumably acquired from their programs? Am I disadvantaged without from broader exit opportunities?
I know there has been similar discussion here recently, but how is WSGR PA Corporate's culture? I've been perusing forums and hear really conflicting accounts with some people saying that it's horrible, while others saying it's good. Also, there was talk on people leaving WSGR en masse to other firms (especially Cooly) and WSGR not being in the best place (although that was pre-covid and I guess things might have changed since then). Is it true that WSGR is/was declining?

B) Have an offer from an MBB firm with ~1.2x guaranteed comp over the next 2 years. After that more of get what you kill. C) Have another offer from "Tier 3" firm that is building management consulting arm with ~1.5x and very strong long-term upside as well. Appreciate your take on pros and cons.

In the later stages of interview process for an in-house exec role for a small company. Went through the process directly with the company - now I’m competing with another person found by an exec search firm. Company wants me to talk tomorrow to the exec search firm too so they can evaluate my experience. Feeling a lot of self doubt as the other candidate is a senior leader and has done this before - whereas it’s more of a stretch role for me… any advice?!
