Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. Well that's easy. You can either take a car to travel a long distance or you can take a plane to shorten it.
Capgemini is a car while oracle is a plane. You decide.
About skills, one can learn skills anywhere as long as one has the motivation and appetite for it. The only reason that one can consider Capgemini would be that Cap is offering a programmer/developer role while Oracle is offering support role, then there's a reason to think.
My opinion anyways, upto you buddy.
Well drafted response 👍
Oracle is better.. Learning and growth
😂😂😂
Capgemini is better than oracle in terms of learning, hikes and promotions
oracle won't give yearly hike and don't know about Capgemini
Both companies are best and also give best payout and hike the wages also
Capgemini pays u max 5-6% hike nothing more than that … don’t hv wrong ideas it’s all project based …
If oracle can give u good pay for 2 yrs and good exp go with it
For sure go for capgemini! Forget hikes in oracle if you join !!! I am x employee and once in beautiful 3 or 2 years you get very less hike and they think you are getting ocean n you should be happy… its with all departments ( i have verified it) literally no proper hikes and learning ( what is learning!) if you planning to settle in life then go for oracle .. !!!
Chief
Growth is nil in Oracle. One of my friend confirmed it. He got an amazing hike while joining, got Apple laptop and other premium joining stuffs. Work life balance is great (he works for 2-3 hours and came from PwC, so quite happy). But, learning and yearly hike is none. I had a very good image about Oracle, given the brand and the interview process. But, seems like it is still hard to decide between oracle and cap. As none of them are absolute winner.
I am an ex employee of oracle and I agree with the fact that join oracle only if you want to settle down and not think about money etc
WLB depends upon project it’s not guaranteed
The only way to increase your pay in oracle is to put down the paper and get a hike
Other you will get 9-12% hike only in 2-3 years
Because of less hike your promotion will also be delayed as you won’t reach in the salary bracket of the next designation with 10% hike
Yes if you are working hard and you are extra ordinary then oracle will acknowledge it and give you benefits but you have to burn ur ass for it
Hike in capgemini is 1 or 2%.. sometime they give 0.5% hikes 😂
Hike in capgemini is less and but they are there in comparison to Oracle where no hike is provided but bonus is good there so if you want to settle go to Oracle... I dont know what your experience... Actually it depends on that
