Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?
How long do your suits typically last?

Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. Ask. They kept you for a reason. But don’t expect anything and start the job search
I was in your position. Ask. If they can’t deliver, ask for the title jump. Then start the job hunt at your new title and ask for the salary that goes with it. While you’re hunting learn as much as you can from the new responsibilities and then don’t hesitate to take the offer that fits your needs
Lots of agency peeps are underpaid. Take the new responsibilities and crush it. Continue to build your reel/experiences/relationships while beginning to look for a new gig. When you start interviewing you can parlay all your work experience/contacts into the salary you want.
Because of the recent layoffs. Do I bring up needing more money? Should I be grateful for even having a job? I’m leaning towards asking, seeing what they say and seriously starting the job search.
Always ask. And you can make it about wanting an update on the status of it. It’s good to periodically remind them that they are getting a good deal and you’ve noticed. Squeaky wheel gets the grease
Just be glad you have a job. Many people don’t.
Doesn’t hurt to ask.
