Hello all,
Would like to know specifically about Queer inclusion at SocGen Societe Generale. What is the attitude of mangers and HRs towards treating LGBTQ identifying candidates? Is company really inclusive or it’s just a lip service? Considering an offer with the company but being an out and proud Queer woman, super anxious and concerned.

Better yet- let's see who gives a shit
I've been at a couple firms prior to this and I will admit I've noticed the diversity here the most
I know quite a few black women at EY. And I'm curious about their perspective. What is a tactful and genuine way to ask them about their experiences and how we can improve? Or is this something I should not ask?
What kind of diversity. I'm suspicious and intrigued. Find me a black woman at your firm who affirms that rating. Or poll them all.
Ey1 don't. I don't think it's a good idea to ask unless it's formally structured. It's a sensitive topic and your level of understanding may be inappropriate for the frankness necessitated by that topic
As a black woman who works at EY I can tell you it depends on the office you're in and which sector you work in. Most other black women I've met are internal. If you are actually friends with a black person at your firm and I don't mean that's your token friend just you're friend you should be able to have this dialogue openly. Just acknowledge your potential ignorance.
Yeah, my point was that the feedback to an individual doesn't really change much. One person's understanding takes a lot of effort on one side of things to not only explain what's going on, but why it's bad, if the person just doesn't have any clue.
I'd only give feedback formally because I've had too many well-meaning colleagues turn interpersonal discussions on diversity impact into a session where I'm teaching them about the history of antiblackness in America.
@K1, send a burner email. I will send you a sympathy card. Sounds like someone needs a hug.
Yeah. Hmph. Not surprising but also that makes the rating that much more suspect, lol
ey1, why don't you just ask the ones you know? Not sure everyone wants to offer formal feedback. sometimes it is based on trust.
A1 nailed it. 🤔 I don't know one, I hate to tell you.
