Am afraid I can’t reach a CxO position later in life if I wanted that path. Thoughts from partners? Did you go through this?

I recently had an interview with BNY for an Analyst role located in DE. The interview went well and I was informed by the recruiter that the team was interested. They asked if I was willing to relocate immediately, and I told him that my decision would be best made if I see an offer. I have not yet received a follow up after this(coming on two weeks) so I know that I've been ghosted. My question is, was I wrong to ask to see the offer before making a decision?

What I see now is there is lot of demand in IT companies due to which there seems to shortage hence companies are paying good pkg's but now I also see big MNCs service based mnc's are hiring in lakhs for freshers to meet demand now in few years down the line I see people with good pkg will be at risk and get replaced by junior people not sure i am thinking right what you guys feel on this ?
