Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. At my pubco you are restricted to the comp "level" you are so other than slight ranges in base, everyone at same level gets the same % bonus and % equity. So for me there would be no way to ask for "more" outside of a promotion.

When did you go in house from private practice?
Find out what “band” you’re in and if people in your band normally receive equity. My company doesn’t give equity below certain bands, and title has nothing to do with it. Since you do securities work too, you should have access to this info, or at minimum, can deduce based on what you see being approved.
Regardless, I think it’s worth asking, framing it as you being committed to the company’s growth and wanting your comp structure to reflect that alignment. Worst they can say is no.
