I’m watching the creativity awards on ad age. I decided to take a shot everytime I see a POC nominated. So its been 35 minutes and I have only seen one. But that wasn’t even the surprising part. When they went to the Inclusion award that’s when I just started laughing at the amount of Karen’s and Micheals in position. Not one person with a shade of color was in the category lol 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
So i applied to Deloitte GPS as part of the inclusion hiring blitz and was supposed to hear back today. I haven’t received anything yet. I wanted to ask if you get an email confirming that you have been selected to interview or the recruiters directly reach out. I am out of the US right now dealing with some family stuff so i don’t have access to my regular phone number.
My heart really goes out for the women in Pakistan, the amount of harassment they face on daily basis. I wonder why that is, is the root cause the extreme level of gender segregation.
My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? I don’t want to seem disingenuous or that we are singling out our diverse employees (asking for photos). We have a remote and on-site workforce about 350+ EEs. Non white EEs make up about 35% of the company rn.
How gender diverse is your recruitment pipeline? Have been observing a year-on-year decline in female candidates as a % of total candidates. Recent few years have been in the low to mid 30s. Interested to see how other firms are going.

My black experience at my current place....... supervisor is known to be racist at a diversity and inclusion school. Great! Unfortunately I am the ONLY black person in our department. She "our leader" doesn’t make me feel like I am part of the team. I feel like an outcast. When I try to bond with other members on my team. She quickly divide us. I’m in investment banking coverage group. In New York City, can you be a part-time real estate agent if you are in investment banking front office( coverage group)? Whether have time set aside, technically are you able to do that? Friends in real estate agent in nyc easily make 300K with half of the year resting serving a niche market 2 years after college.
I have never seen anyone display as much grace as Barbara Walters when her co-anchor (Harry Reasoner I think) was so dismissive and rude to her; she just smiled and kept doing her job. If I end up with even half that level of class, I will consider it to be a win
