Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Hey Fishbowl community! I currently work as a Sales Support Specialist with 3 YOE working at a SaaS company. My dream career is to work at Microsoft or Google. I am open to different opportunities that exceed 80k+ per year. I also have a BA in Business Admin. If anyone can refer me to a great remote position I would greatly appreciate it! 😀
I’m interviewing for final round of the entry level area manager position at Amazon. I’m working on multiple stories related to the leadership principles. Can anyone provide me some tips regarding the role?
There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon

no - will most likely get put on a performance improvement plan. don't screw up again or you'll be gone.
The SM who you didn't get along with was your project manager, I take it? In this job, performance ultimately comes down to project work. Excelling at PRD will take you from a 3 to a 2 or a 2 to a 1, but bad project work will take you down to a 4. Focus on getting excellent reviews for all project work.
OP I got a 4 and a PIP my first year. Since I've been a 1 most years and been promoted twice. So it's possible.
Yeah most likely just a PIP. Counselors don't do the firing.
Utilization target is actually 75% for first-year campus hire analysts due to training and whatnot but yeah 95% thereafter. I managed to get off my PIP but I'm not sure what the overall success rate is. I imagine many people left rather than try to work through it.
^My counselor did this as well to me (second yr analyst) and I got a 4 and no promo. Counselors have too much power in our career, especially at low levels. OP you got boned as hard as I did but lest you got a year to make it up. Get a new counselor asap.
Best wishes.
Most likely a PIP
Why do counselors lead people on telling them they will tell you something at a later time and not just tell them straight up?
SC1 yeah you are right about the number. I did a tons of PRDs and networked. But my counselor did little due diligence though I provided him with lots of names. I felt at the edge of being fired since Apr. Sigh.
What's the process of being let go?
Thanks folks btw
And what's the chance of getting off PIP?
Why a 4?
Is your counselor a PPMD. If no, then your not getting fired. If yes, is there a invite with a Skype link?
In EY, it is rare..
Joined in Feb and utilization target is 95%. Finished with 69% due to factors out of control. And one SM gave me 4 ratings as we just didn't get along. Other feedback is positive so I didn't get a 5 I guess. Lesson learnt hard way.
@D4 because some news is probably better delivered over the phone where you can have a conversation rather than via email?
D2 a first year for a feb hire is through march, so they begin a new performance year starting then and have abnormal expectation of utilization. What did you do, OP, while not charging?
