Aren't you supposed to be the strategist?
Aren’t you the person who’s supposed to be good with words?
Also don’t count your chickens. You might not get job offers, interviews are just interviews.
Any solid company would understand you wanting 24-48 hours to properly review the offer, benefits, etc so that gives you time for the first place. You then have to be upfront with the second place that you have an offer on the way...give them a timeframe and they should accelerate your interviews.
Thank you!
Also, unless you are entry-level or desperate, 24-48 hours is not the max you can get. If the number is low, ask if they are flexible on certain things, and consider making a counteroffer. If they need you, they might take time to discuss a counteroffer. While they're doing that, of course you would need to keep interviews going just in case. I've spent a month in negotiations before.
If they want you they will give you time. Ask.
