Legal recruiter here... Do you have an LLM? Most of the big law firms that will consider candidates coming out of big 4 are going to want an LL.M. from one of the top 3 programs. Also, we have seen the most success with people making that move pretty quickly (2-3 years at most in Big 4). Be prepared to take a class year hit. Probably at least half time. So if you have been there for 3 years, expect a 1st or 2nd year designation.

Thanks for responding. I do not have my LLM but strongly considering it (applying for this fall and deciding what I want to do from there). I’m 1.5 years in and would be fine with a class year hit.

Went through all Tiktok rounds (1 recruiter, 3 PM, and 1 HR). Wrapped up my final interview with HR 2 weeks ago and they said that they would have an update by the end of the week, but to reach out to the recruiter the following Monday if I didn’t get an update.
I followed up last Monday and the recruiter told me they’re still interested, but they’re awaiting further guidance from the hiring team. Didn’t hear from her again, so I followed up yesterday and no reply. Any feedback about this?

Considering a change from audit (SM) to an advisory role - looking at a Director position within Strategy, Finance and Accounting M&A. [Insert typical “should I make the jump” question here]. I’m 3+ years to audit partner and weighing options and exhausted by omnipresent inspection risk and how this impacts day to day (and presume it will continue to get worse). Considering the advisory role 1) job security, 2) exit ops, 3) partnership ops. Anyone recently make a similar jump and could share?

I am now being pushed to take up as a TL because of my performance and contribution to the project management. However i feel with just 2 years of experience if i take the position i might have to stay much longer in the company than i intend to as a minimum requirement for position of TL elsewhere is 4 years of experience as associate. Also what is the salary slab one should get as a TL?

I have worked 2 years as an HR Generalist for a large tech company. My position is HR but it is seen more as a glorified customer service position (call center). It has become unbearable & every opportunity I have taken for internal movement has been denied. I was offered a less stressful & more flexible HR temp position with less pay. My goal is to change HR career to a new field. Any recommendations I can take to set myself up for a change in career from HR to sales?
