honestly, love KPMG.

Love KPMG, yes we get a lot of smack everywhere but fact is we win cool work, we have a fun culture and work life balance ain't that bad. Comp is ok -- probably an area that needs work.

I'm a fan of Pwc, but I noticed it wasn't on your list for some reason.

@d1 that is true but I also think if you're bouncing between firms it's easier to set salary expectations and get higher comp

What do you think a seasoned Director or Managing Director makes at KPMG?

@pwc2 25

**250-400

Thanks!

What about at EY? What does a seasoned Director or Managing Director make?

PwC 2 I'm assuming Director = Senior Manager and if so 200-250k

Ugh...low

Ha ha ha EY1. I have a job, just thinking about making a move.

ACN sucks.

Best firm for a Supply Chain guy?

PRTM. Oh, wait, they're PwC now. Damn.

IBM might be best for logistics

Love it. Been here 2+ years. Hiring in advisory has been relatively strong. Would recommend to a friend. Pay could always be better but last year got a 13% bump (no promo, performance based), expect the same this year.

Bain is hiring.

I get the feeling recruiters are on fb already...

Yeah, right. Some recruiter is going to say "PwC 2 is ready to make a move. Let me email him on LinkedIn." If some recruiter reached out to me on FB I would ignore that shut. For all I know it is HR trolling.

@bain in what service area?

Generalist. On campus MBA hire.

Been getting some interesting ads in Georgia. Got a letter about how Jon Ossoff is going to destroy Georgia’s economy and attacking him and his character. This was generated by David Perdue.

Ossoffs response? Bring up all the ridiculousness Perdue has done and how he’s left Georgia in a worse position. Didn’t say Ossoffs name once, just said get rid of Perdue.

Hello! Recently been job hunting and have interest in a role at Estee Lauder Companies. I am hoping someone can refer me as I haven’t heard back from the contacts I reached out to. Thanks so much!

Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. I’ve since been focused on a Patent Attorney track and am with a firm that will support me taking the patent bar/law school. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?

Hi all -
Sorry for the long rant, but could use advice or just encouragement.

Got laid off for the first time in my career 3 weeks ago. I have 10 years of PM experience (mostly ecommerce & experimentation). I was fortunate in the past to have had recruiters scout me directly so this is the first time in over a decade that I am applying to everything that I’m qualified for, mostly qualified for, and way over qualified for with zero leads. Only 3 interviews thus far that didn’t go forward.

Hey all, started my role as a recruiter at an agency recently and had my first placement! It was great until the candidate wants to renegotiate the base and benefits after the current company counter-offered when the candidate no longer sees the future. Hello all!

Am I correct in my understanding that:

Over a certain income ($76k as of 2021), a single person CANNOT make tax-free contributions to a traditional IRA if you have a workplace retirement plan?

In my example, I have a work 401k, and my adjusted gross income is over (or just about hovering) at the 76k limit. This means I can't make pre-tax contributions to a traditional IRA, so I should just go for a Roth?
