IBM1 - Glad that worked for you. KPMG1 - Yea I hear you - suuuper tired today, can barely function...this job is not meant for people with young kids...I need a 3 year Paternity leave lol
Very rarely. Sometimes growth spurts makes kids very hungry. So there are exceptions... But We usually say “this is dinner” and kids know that means there’s no food later. She’ll get used to the schedule after a while. I think encouraging a schedule is a positive thing
We have tried not to give it to her before bed, and just not working, we just all want to sleep, but we know we shouldn’t give her milk/yogurt after brushing teeth probably
Just give it to her before bed. And then brush teeth after. That way she can sleep thru night.
What Age?
She’s 2
If it will get her to sleep then I’d do it. Those teeth will fall out anyway
When mine turned 2, I started enforcing the no food after dinner rule. She didn't ask after the answer was No a few times, slept through the night like a champ after a while.
Assuming she is a healthy weight and no other issues, no way would I feed them in the night at 2 years old. This is not only a hassle for me, but also will complicate the pee/poop schedule. Just tell her that food is going to be available at breakfast and it’s time to sleep right now. She may fuss for a few nights, but I’ll bet within a week she will sleep through the night. Agree with others that tooth brushing is not the central concern here, it more just the schedule and pee/poop
Recommend no food that late
