Dear HR or Hiring Managers,
Have you ever questioned management or rejected an email from management when they lay off employees who have dedicated their more than 3years in the organisation.
Even in a relationship if you spent three years or more you will end up marrying that person.
I’m pretty sure that even you would be well aware by now their is no loyalty the top guns in management/investors are worried about their profits so why shouldn’t we take switch to increase salary and make money.

Do you have any tips/advise for someone who was laid off recently and early in their career?

My LinkedIn feed was absolutely filled with layoffs today. What happened? A month or two ago it was a candidate’s market and the offers were great but now everything has shifted. I was informed that I am not getting a promotion that I was gunning for, and when I pushed back about being fairly compensated for my work the response about it not being a good time to ask was really ominous. Anyone else feeling bummed?

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

I am currently a Senior Consultant in KPMG Australia’s human capital advisory function - however I have been recently offered a role with Accenture Australia’s human capital advisory function as an ‘Associate Manager’ with a 15K salary bump and an enticing bonus structure - with some very cool clients that they mentioned to me in their interview round.
