Deloitte 🐠- what is your paternity leave policy?
Specifically, how much time do you get, and is there a requirement to be with the firm for a certain amount of time before being eligible?

What is the paternity policy at EY?

As D1 said, 16 weeks paid (US firm). I believe you have to be with the firm 1 year, and if you leave less than 30 days after returning from paternity leave, you will be asked to pay back the amount you received during that time. It's 16 weeks in rolling 12 months, so if you take it all at once, you could theoretically take 16 weeks again 12 months later for a covered reason (primary caregiver, sick family member requiring care, etc). You don't need to take it all at once, though tbh, I would.

During benefits selection this year , I chose HSA for the first time and I am informed that my account is opened today. While registering on Fidelity, I am asked to chose between FDRXX/FDIC .I would want to chose from available options and invest money. Which option I should be choosing of both ? Also if I can’t chose options on fidelity, what should I do about it ? My firm opts only for Fidelity unless I’m wrong . Happy holidays . Thanks in advance

Wanted to share this somewhere.
My father has been very aggressive and keeps on creating quarrel like situations at home day in and day out.
I care for him a lot. However, i have tried both calm and aggressive tones during quarrels, but it also didn't help.
Now it's becoming unbearable to keep on getting involved with his quarrels over little things... considering this scenario I am also not proceeding with matrimonial process as not sure how the girl will handle this

Any suggestions?

I am not from the US and taxes overwhelm me; the first few years I did them with TurboTax and it was fine but then I entered a domestic partnership and had a baby. I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form. Any recommendations on how to navigate personal taxes with an actual advisor?

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. Hello folks, recently moved to industry from consulting. In my previous company, we had teams who formatted PowerPoint presentations. Suggested the same to my manager in my new job and he is keen to explore an outsourced model. Are there any companies who do this - creating, formatting, polishing PowerPoint presentations? Suggestions welcome.

I don’t know who needs to hear this (mostly As, Cs, SCs, and some Ms) but here goes.

You are important to the project, but never so important that you cannot leave the project or firm for better opportunities. Being in hero mode is good where you save the day, everyday - but in fact that is neither advisable for your progression nor a recommended practice for the firm. If you have been performing and have had decent social skills, you will not have burnt a bridge when you leave.

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
