Completely lost by your comment. Deloitte pulled bonuses, PPMDs took a pay cut, drastically reduced promos, no annual increases, no cash awards and carried poor performers for months. Those being separated are given severance packages and transition help. What else do you want? A social welfare program paid for by Deloitte?

According to what you describe, Deloitte has been in major trouble for much longer than the pandemic.
When it’s your money you get to decide “what’s okay”.

And Deloitte is not in trouble. They are out performing many of the other consulting firms. This just happens to be the end of our performance year. It makes sense for leadership to go about the performance year like always and instead of looking at the bottom 2 to 4% like last year they’re looking at the bottom 5%. The timing just worked out

You don’t have experience with a lot of business cycles, do you? Layoffs happen all the time in down markets.
Is it correct to think that if one is subject to termination they will get call this week from talent management . If not they are safe ?

Sadly D8, no. Calls will go until July and I heard there could be a second wave in Fall 🙁
