Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

I have a friend who was let go a few months into his first job after college (reason: the manager felt like he wasn't grasping the training content to the level that was expected). He's worried about if he should put the experience on his resume anyway, if he does will recruiters ask why he had such a short time at this place, and what will recruiters think if he explains he was let go. What are some things recruiters expect from candidates in this situation to continue considering them?

It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.
