A lot of industry jobs do. Which is crazy considered Congress can’t be drug tested as it’s considered to be an invasion of privacy 😂.
Drug testing is a waste regardless. The only thing that stays in your system more than a few days is weed lol.

Depends on client I think. Uncle D doesn’t as a rule but I’ve had to because of certain clients I work on
I've never been drug tested in a professional setting. I've had drug tests at every blue collar job I had growing up though.
I-banks do
Industries do and some require their advisors to pass drug tests as well - especially in the pharmaceutical industry.
I interviewed with a regional accounting firm that told me ahead of time they drug test everyone because they mostly serve defense contractors who require it.
Regulated financial services entities are required to drug test for most positions.
I’ve had multiple clients in the FinTech space require me to get tested as a consultant. Of course the firm says that we can refuse, but can you really?
Pro
Big 4 doesn’t but I’ve had clients make me get drug tested before I was allowed in the audit room.
A few fortune 500s still require it.
Does anyone know if the IRS still does? Specifically, do they care about weed? I live in a legal state, if that makes a difference.
Even in a state where it’s legal? I do edibles on occasion. So annoying that I have to worry about this now potentially interfering with a job offer when it’s legal in the state. I don’t even drink and pretty “boring” and clean-cut.
I'm on the same boat as you (see my above question about the IRS). I don't think most industry jobs in my city would drug test, but don't quote me on it.
