There are lot of mixed reviews about Nagarro.. some folks are saying Nagarro do not fire even in covid the only did the pay cuts and did not fire anyone... where as some folks are saying Nagarro is hiring rigorously more than their projects strength so firing will happen for sure and if you are on bench for more than 1 month you are in red zone as the same happened in past... what is the mystery.. can anyone from Nagarro an honest review about this organization.

Is this true ?

I recently joined Allstate india and my manager is forcing me to come to office twice a week. During negotiations, I had made it clear that I didn't want to work from office due to personal commitment.
Please suggest:
1. Is my understanding correct that Allstate india is currently not forcing employees to come to office and my manager is an exception?
2. How can I say no without pissing off the manager given I have just joined the company?

Not often unless it’s a performance / fitment issue.
Yes
Nope, definitely cuts last year even with people staffed. Seemed to be some belt tightening based on the prior years performance (2018). One dude on my team got let go when we were in dire need of another person. Some people went from 55 hrs to 80+ hrs per week because we were short one person when we already had work piling up.
In the layoffs that PwC conducted back in 2015, they were laying off staffed high performers in exchange for cheaper resources.
The reality is that regardless what leadership says, layoffs are about protecting the bottom line. If you have a senior associate who can do the job of a manager, both are “high performers”,and the manager is staffed while the SA isn’t, there’s a good chance the manager will be let go.
Shrinking the workforce to meet current and projected demand isn’t necessarily just about being utilized.
Oof I remember that time. “Project Fit”
Lol of course, just bc you’re staffed at that current moment and someone else isn’t doesn’t mean you deserve to keep your job more (just as you’re not going to automatically get promoted bc you’re staffed when someone more qualified happens to be on the beach at that moment). Layoffs look at all bottom performers or low performing groups, it doesn’t matter if you’re on a project or not. Can you imagine the backlash that would cause if a company just laid off everyone on the beach and kept everyone who was staffed?! That would be insane
Yes. For Deloitte if you are underutilized or a poor performer, or combination of the two, during the performance cycles, Covid or not, you are at risk.
Was wondering the same.
