Yes but only because I have for 2 pregnancies and still managed to be productive. But why?
I hated the way adderall made me feel outside of focus (and even then it was risky if I started a non-work task like online shopping), so I did quit. I will say that being unmediated only works for me because I’m *not* in a big law or super fast-paced, high strung environment.
I have a lot of autonomy with my time and schedule and don’t have billable minimums, so I can work when my brain is able to focus. It ends up in me working multiple 12-14 hour days each week and often not getting anything productive done 2 other days (despite my best efforts) so it usually evens out hours wise for me, but the work gets done and deadlines are met, and that’s all my bosses care about.
Tl;dr - finding a flexible workplace is the best bet for being unmediated in this profession.
I can function without it, but life is better with it. If you don't like stimulants (side effects, I'm assuming?), some of the newer non-stimulants are quite effective, too. I take a low dose of Qelbree, and it makes it possible to get by with much less Vyvanse. Little fatiguing at first, but once that passed, it added calm focus throughout the day without the daily ups & downs of stimulants.
Life is better for me with drugs- adhd medication and anti depressants both
