Any good ETFs to invest Roth into?
Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

My issue with a. Membership is I’d feel tied to one course and my friends couldn’t afford it. It’s better to play with them every weekend instead of random old dudes. that said, it’s interesting to me
I’d say depends where you live, do you have a family, how often do you plan on playing?
For me I’m looking for a membership in the next year or so because I live in Arizona and green fees in the fall through the early spring are ridiculously expensive for decent courses. So paying the monthly dues makes it worth it. Additionally, my wife and I are expecting our first child and we would love to have access to their pool and all their other activities they have for kids!
Lastly I plan on playing 3-4 times a month minimum once I get my membership
I am at 2.5% of gross on club fees... I would just weigh how much you will use it versus what you have to give up to afford that
This. Compare it to how much you spend on golf fees yearly and whether you will use the added perks and how much you value them.
Financially responsible really depends on how much you make. If it’s a good decision also depends on how much you otherwise golf plus if joining a club improves other things (networking, making friends, better times, etc. )
Feels like it's a classic, "it depends". Is it 5k all-in (i.e., no cart fees, no food and beverage minimums, no potential for assessments for improvements/capital raises etc.)? What's your average additional spend when you play?
Based on some of those questions, how often are you able to play and use the facilities? Do you assign a high value to other things that come with membership, be it social, reciprocity at other clubs etc.?
From a budget standpoint, I'd look at what you spend on golf/entertainment/ vacation. Are you planning to repurpose those funds for this? How much is net-new spend, and the like?
Joining a club is never financially responsible, and you should never make the decision to join one based on “oh I’ll save $X if I play Y times per month.” You will always spend more than you expect, especially after you make some friends there. Join if you feel like the club offerings and other members will enhance your life in some way.
Go for it if it makes you happy. It’s not that irresponsible if you can afford it.

i joined a club and quit because my friends couldn’t go and the members were old. not trying to spend thousands to play golf with someone’s 90 year old grandma
Yes. That’s pretty cheap actually. But like someone else said, you’re never going to hit some break even where you play x rounds. I thought of it like this “I’m already spending the monthly to play golf locally so it’s really just the initiation. With the initiation you get all the club amenities….”
