Might be your sleep cycle!
Delayed sleep-wake phase syndrome, or delayed sleep-wake phase disorder (DSPD), is characterized by the inability to fall asleep, difficulty waking up on time, and, in some cases, daytime sleepiness or depression. (Google Search)
Apparently it's pretty common for ADHD folks to have.
Could be from your sleep cycle. I second what was said above.
Yes my whole life. I always used to say that my brain doesn’t “turn on” until ~4pm when I can focus and get some work done. Pretty sure I have a delayed sleep cycle (I’ve never been able to fall asleep before 11:30/midnight) and am miserable if I have to wake up before ~8am. Maybe I chose the wrong profession 🫠
Same. I have to drug myself to go to bed at 10 or 11 so I can get enough sleep to wake up at 7 and be productive around 8/8:30. If I had the option, I’d sleep from 2 am to 10 or 11 am and work from noon/1 to 8/9/10, but unfortunately the world doesn’t operate on our schedules.
