I got Mike Chapple's CIPP/US study guide from my library (through an online textbook site they partner with), and I used that to set up access to the online content for that guide. There are practice questions, flash cards, all sorts of stuff.

like

What online textbook site?

You don't need it. This is against IAPP's rules.

like

It is in fact illegal. But there is some practice tests you can purchase on n IAPP website. They are very close to what the actual exam will be like.

like

My only guess is IAPP recycles the questions, so they don’t want other people to know. Either way, unlike bar exam where the actual questions are officially released after the test, IAPP doesn’t publish its past exams. Your only option is to purchase the official practice exam from IAPP or buy books from Amazon that have similar unofficial tests. I highly suggest joining the FB group dedicated to CIPP. There are a lot of helpful tips and useful information.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Hi all,
Been doing privacy for about a year now in-house. Got my CIPP/US.
Having major imposter syndrome still. I feel like the minute I finally have a grasp, something changes. The law and nuances just seem overwhelming. Maybe it’s just a lack of guidance/uniformity in the US. I’m not sure if I feel this way because it is simply the nature of the work or because I’m just not capable.
