When it came to applying for a job, did anyone ever have to submit a spec campaign via a fake brief? For a client the agency doesn’t have? Then not get a response even after you followed up?

Not a sales based question but have a second interview for TierPoint Inc. they are an IT company and this is a manager of operations role. Their clients have some big names but I work for a global company that’s massive.

Does anyone know if their companies use them for managed services/cloud etc and is this a well known company that is rated well to use and work with?

I recently (1+ yr ago) transitioned from consulting to industry. The hours are much better. Total comp is less than what I was making on the consulting side (-15% less). My schedule is much better, and I have a good routine outside of work. However, I don't feel accomplished at my current role and feel like I am not learning as much. I was hoping that I would make up for that comp difference in a year or two but upward mobility seems limited. Is it too soon to look for another job?

MBB partner considering an equity partner role with one of the Big 4. Pros and cons?

Just had a series of interviews started in September and finally ended in November last week only to be told that suddenly I'm not a great fit for the job. Recruiter had called sometime in October and told me that I was a top candidate for the job and though they couldn't tell me to stop considering taking interviews with other companies they felt I was an almost lock for the job. Got an offer from a large tech PE company for their value creation team. Team is relatively experienced - however, their offer is lower than my current salary as a consultant at a T2 firm.
