Do you have managers under you that can help you collect feedback? You could ask about their feedback on processes or projects instead of the company as a whole and you might get more quality, constructive feedback instead of people just complaining.
Yea - appreciate the call-out. I do have managers that provide good feedback and actually think we have pretty healthy qualitative feedback channels. I guess what I'm after is a way to layer in more data-driven feedback to supplement.
The best tool that I’ve used in my career is Officevibe. It gives you actionnable data through anonymous pulse surveys.
I’ve got a proprietary survey that assesses trust in management. Happy to share it with you.
It heavily depends on culture e.g. in the Netherlands is easy in Belgium is hierarchical and very difficult.
Anonymous feedbacks are also key, and sentiment of the team also, never just interact with your direct peers but also all the others, one by one, because of that cultural or personal bias. Always ask personal feedbacks: people will come back to you maybe just an email, with a suggestion or maybe an extensive talk.
I have this manager always introducing first day new comers with the following "if you have any problem please come back to me" it gives a lot of empathy and that safety thread.
I’d recommend a 360 survey at middle management level. Since this is likely a group of less than 10 in your org- ask each to submit 3 recipients and then you can appoint 2-3 others. You’ll have valuable feedback on the culture of your company, the resources and talent provided, if you get feedback at this level. Make it easy and relatively short, pulling out “more of, and less of” concepts along with open sentiments.
My company has been using pigeonhole to collect anonymous information during department level calls or using it as an alternative to survey monkey. You can use it for polling or with Q&A voting. The users can chose if they want to share their name or post as anonymous.
