Does anyone here have advice on working with clients with near zero production funds and minimal fee but who also are more demanding, critical, and frankly rude than your clients who pay 5x more? We are very consistently gaslit into them saying we aren’t delivering for “how much they pay us” - despite us being over by 3x on fee hours. 😂 I am at a loss.

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

My 3-person team spends about 15+ hours a month each writing monthly reports for our clients (99 small retainer clients). We’ve received feedback that they’re too complicated and the clients just want to know - are we on the right track, what action items are there, and what any next steps are in their strategy.
