Does anyone know of a list somewhere online that shows which states you can work as a veterinarian under someone else’s license? I graduated and have my DVM from a U.S.-accredited school but have not yet passed the NAVLE.

Aren't you considered a vet tech if you haven't gotten licensed yet?

I believe in some states, you can practice under someone else's license if you've completed a degree program but aren't certified yet. I'd love some further clarification.

Yes, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) maintains a list of states that allow veterinary technicians and assistants to work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed veterinarian. However, it is important to note that the specific requirements and restrictions for working under someone else's license may vary by state.

You can find the most up-to-date list on the AVMA website, under the section "State Veterinary Practice Laws and Regulations: Veterinary Technicians and Assistants." Here is the link to that page: https://www.avma.org/advocacy/state-local-issues/state-veterinary-practice-laws-and-regulations-veterinary-technicians-and-assistants

I hope this helps!

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any such list, but I know for a fact that each state has different regulations about who can practice veterinary medicine and under what circumstances. I graduated from a U.S.-accredited school with a DVM but haven't yet taken the NAVLE, so I've been doing research to find out which states I can practice in. A lot of states require that you be licensed to practice, but some states have provisions that allow you to work under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

I have an interview tomorrow to work at a fintech startup. I'm slightly worried as I'm not sure what it'll be like working While they use functional programming which I enjoy, I'm concerned about how much pressure I'll be under.

What is it like working at a fintech company? Is the salary at a fintech company typically higher than other tech jobs? It'll be higher than gamedev, but just wanted to learn about whether the pressure will be worth it eventually etc.
